The time it takes to drill a borehole depends on the depth and hardness of the surface we come across. On average an 80m borehole can be drilled in one working day.

Do I have to register my borehole?
Schedule 1 water uses do not require any permission or registration.
Definition of Schedule 1:
- ‘reasonable domestic use in that person’s household’;
- ‘small gardening not for commercial purposes’;
- ‘the watering of animals (excluding feedlots) which graze on that land within the grazing capacity of that land
Is Borehole water safe for human consumption?
The short answer is a resounding YES! … If you are going to drink from this water source, we always advise to have it analysed at a water lab just to make 100% sure that it is fit for consumption. A simple SANS-241 test will confirm if the water is potable or not. BBP will assist in getting your water tested at an accredited lab.
